Today we morn the loss of another icon. This afternoon it was reported that disco queen Donna Summer has passed away from cancer at the age of 63. She may be best known for the seductive and erotic hit song " Love to love you baby", and ushering in new era of unique pulsing, up-tempo dance music. Rest in peace Donna Summer you are forever in our hearts.

Last Friday in Atlanta, former NBA great, Shaquille Oneal, held the finale event for his C by Courvoisier Sponsored “C If You Can Make Shaq Laugh” contest. The event featured vast amount of celebrities; including Shaq’s girlfriend, Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander. The competition's remaining 3 finalist received a meet and greet with Shaq, and the opportunity to perform at the event. When all was said and done, it was Grand Rapids, Michigan native Dave Jones who took home the $5,000 grand prize. Here are some flicks from the event.…

Last night, ESPN: The Magazine held its ninth annual NFL Pre-Draft party at the Waterfront in New York City. Thanks to the good folks at Coyne PR, SMOOTH was granted the chance to ball hard with some of the NFL biggest names and best players. In attendance at the prestigious event were some of this year’s most highly regarded draft prospects, such as top picks Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Justin Blackmon, and Trent Richardson, among other draftees. Also making appearances were current superstars like wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, and Super Bowl 46 champion New York Giants Jason Pierre-Paul, Victor Cruz and Justin Tuck. Some of ESPN's most popular personalities were in the building as well, including notable names like Stephen A. Smith, Michael Smith, Marcellus Wiley, Charissa Thompson, and Hannah Storm.
